Leading experts discuss the emerging research on combination therapies and targeted agents in management of gastric cancer.

(Reston, VA - June 1 st , 2006) In an effort to improve the treatment of patients with advanced gastrointestinal cancer, DLC Solutions, LLC, is pleased to announce the launch of http://www.GIcancer.org. Gastric cancer is an aggressive disease that will affect an estimated 22,000 Americans in 2006. Unfortunately, a majority of people will present with advanced disease.

GICancer.org is dedicated to enhancing the delivery of effective multidisciplinary, patient-centered care by educating physicians and nurses on effective therapies for gastric cancer, side-effect management, and future research directions. The Web site currently offers expert presentations, virtual patient case studies, and other engaging elearning programs for physicians and nurses. All courses are accredited for physicians and nurses to receive continuing education credit and are available at no cost.

Our distinguished faculty includes:

"It is very encouraging to see the emerging trends and recent advances in the treatment and research of gastric cancer.   Due to the aggressive nature of gastric cancer, it is imperative that physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals embrace a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach to care.   We believe that that CME programs available on GIcancer.org will translate into a broad knowledge base within oncology community and enhance the overall quality of care for those affected by gastric cancer," stated Jeremy C.
